Welcome to Everything Curvy Barbie

CurvyBarbie

For a long time, Facebook groups were full of bans, cancellations, and bullying if your opinion was different. Conservative voices and especially Christians were often silenced or made to feel unwelcome. When I took over as admin of the largest curvy Barbie group on Facebook, I made it my mission to change that.

Barbie doll holding a bibleI wanted to show everyone that no one would be persecuted here for their beliefs. And it has been successful in many ways, but Facebook still limits real expression, and many people are simply addicted to the platform and don’t want to move elsewhere.

That’s why I created this blog.

This blog is my attempt to break those barriers by speaking my mind and community can share their thoughts in the comments openly without fear of judgment or cancellation.

I don’t exclude conservatives or Christians like many other groups used to do. It hasn’t been easy, and it came at a personal cost, but I believe it’s worth it. t.

Personally, I’m not curvy at all. I’m super petite — just 1.49m (4’11”) and 36kg (79 pound). When I bought my first petite Barbie, I hated it the moment I opened the box. She represented everything I dislike in real life: clothes that never fit properly and people calling me “cute” in that fake, condescending way. But when I got my first curvy Barbie, the exact opposite happened. I tried to put pants on her and they didn’t fit… and I found it hilarious! I even sent a photo to my mom (who is plus-size) saying “look, there’s a fat Barbie now!”

From that moment on, I fell in love with curvy Barbies. I started hunting for clothes that actually fit her, and I realized something beautiful: the clothes that fit curvy dolls look good and feel right. They don’t look like she’s wearing an astronaut suit all the time, like so many petite outfits do.

That’s why I adore these dolls, every shape deserves clothes that actually fit and flatter, and people need to stop being so fake. Whether you’re curvy, petite, somewhere in between, conservative, Christian, liberal, or anything else — you are welcome here.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let’s celebrate curvy beauty together, with freedom and kindness.

With love,
Tamara Lopes
